Are you interested in being part of the new delegation of the Philipps-University Marburg for the National Model United Nations Conference in New York? Do you want to take part in the biggest and most important United Nations Simulation worldwide? Are you interested in international politics, diplomacy and the United Nations? No matter what faculty and no matter what program. We want you!
Deadline for Applications is 27 June 2010. Just write a 1 page essay with the following topic: Reform of the United Nations and Germany's Advocacy for a Permanent Seat in the Securitry Council. In order to ensure that there will be valuable discussions and good negotiations, we decided today to combine the ECOSOC Committee and the OIC into a General Assembly Plenary Committee. All delegates will keep there assigned coutry and all four topics will be available for agenda setting. The interest in the ECOSOC was greater than in the OIC, to avoid too few delegates on the OIC, the Conference Management decided to combine both committees. All UN member states are present in the General Assembly (GA). If you wish to still register for LahnMUN 2010, please check which countries are still available and send th efilled registration form to register@lahnmun.de!

The Organization Team once again wants to remind all delegates that wish to get accommodation during the conference to indicate this as quickly as possible by sending a mail to info@lahnmun.de. If you already did so we will take care of everything! Please also don't forget to transfer the accommodation fee of € 40 to the LahnMUN account!
Don't forget that countries will be provided only after the delegates fee has been transferred to the LahnMUN account!

We are happy to announce this year's guest speakers for the opening ceremony of LahnMUN 2010: We are honoured to welcome Prof. Dr. Susanne Buckley-Zistel from the Center for Conflict Studies and Mr. Dustin Dehéz who is the Chairment of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für die Vereinten Nationen (DGVN)! We will provide further information soon!

The LahnMUN 2010 Registration Period started! Please carefully check the prerequisites for the application for the historical Security Council! You need prior MUN experience for participation! Also check out the country/committee policy at LahnMUN 2010! We will provide you with your country immediately after the delegates fee of 40€ was tranferred to the LahnMUN 2010 bank account!
